Terms of Service
Last updated:
1. Services
We provide PAT testing, NIST 800-88–aligned data erasure, and device collection. Scope, quantities, timelines, and price are confirmed in writing before work starts.
2. Quotes & Payments
- Quotes are based on information supplied and remain valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise.
- Unless agreed differently, invoices are due on receipt. We may require a deposit for large jobs.
- Late payment may incur statutory interest and recovery costs under UK law.
3. Access & Preparation
- Client must provide safe access, power, and any required site inductions.
- For data erasure, client confirms they have the right to instruct destruction and that devices are no longer in active use.
4. Deliverables
- PAT testing: pass labels and a PDF report of appliances tested.
- Data erasure: certificate of destruction per device with matched serial where visible.
- Device collection: asset list on receipt and agreed return/disposal route.
5. Cancellations & Delays
- Rescheduling with ≥48 hours’ notice: no fee. With <48 hours’ notice or on arrival: we may charge reasonable costs (travel/time).
- We aren’t liable for delays caused by access issues, inaccurate information, or third-party failures.
6. Data Handling
We handle client data in line with our Privacy Policy. Media erasure follows a NIST 800-88–aligned workflow appropriate to device type and condition. For irreparably faulty media, we will note limitations and recommend physical destruction.
7. Liability
- We’re not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid for the specific job giving rise to the claim.
- Nothing limits liability for fraud or for death/personal injury caused by negligence.
8. Ownership & Risk
Unless otherwise agreed, devices remain the client’s property. If disposal/recycling is requested, ownership transfers as agreed in the job confirmation.
9. Warranty
We warrant that services will be carried out with reasonable skill and care. PAT test results relate to the time of testing only.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland, and the Scottish courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
